Hosting

This website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. When you visit the site, your browser transmits technical data (such as IP address, time and requested page) that Cloudflare processes to deliver the site and protect it against attacks. Legal basis: legitimate interest in a secure and fast website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Fonts

We host our fonts on our own server. No connection to Google Fonts or other font services is made.

Reviews

If you submit a review, we store your rating, your answer about the guest policy, the name or nickname you enter, your text, the language and the time. To prevent spam and abuse, we also store a one-way encrypted (hashed) version of your IP address; we cannot read your IP address from it. Reviews are stored with Supabase (database provider) and are only published after we check them. Legal basis: your consent by submitting (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in preventing abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can ask us to delete your review at any time.

Hotel suggestions

If you report a missing hotel, we store the hotel name, the city, your optional note, the language, the time and a hashed version of your IP address (for spam protection). Suggestions are not published.

Language setting

When you choose a language, your choice is saved in your browser (local storage) so the site opens in that language next time. This information stays on your device and is not sent to us.

Spam protection (Cloudflare Turnstile)

The review form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell humans from bots. Turnstile processes technical data about your browser and connection. It does not use advertising cookies.

Booking links (Stay22)

We use a script from Stay22 that turns links to booking sites into affiliate links. When you click such a link, the booking partner (for example Booking.com) may set cookies to attribute your booking to us. Please see the privacy policy of the booking partner.

Hotel map (Stay22)

City and hotel pages contain a map from Stay22 that shows hotel photos, prices and availability. The map is loaded directly from Stay22's servers, which therefore receive technical data such as your IP address; the map may also load map tiles from a map provider. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in showing current prices and availability (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete and restrict the processing of your data, the right to data portability and the right to object. You can withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
